There are many factors that go into the selection of a data center provider, but one of the universal considerations, is the expectation that the service provider will not have an outage that impacts your business. The expectation is that the data center will always be up, that it will have connectivity to the outside world, and that it will be secure. Whether realistic or not, anything less than 100% uptime is not acceptable.
Then it happens, your provider has an outage that impacts your business. It could be measured in seconds, minutes, or hours. Regardless there is an impact to your business, now what?
